 Three colorways of special edition Nike 6.0 Dunk SE has been made available at 21 Mercer in New York. The first pair combines a club purple hue with 3M material, while the second sports a simple black and white color combination. Finishing off the treo is a pair which sports a nano grey upper, along with retro and del sol accents.

Look for them now at the Nike Sportswear store.

Like it or not, the Nike Dunk Low was one of the firestarters of the sneaker culture boom of the post-Y2K era, with the great City Attack series and the Nike SB Dunk Low acting as prime examples of Dunk royalty. The Nike 6.0 Dunk SE was introduced earlier this year as part of the Nike 6.0 action sports line-up.

It features the familiar Nike Dunk upper but with a vulcanized midsole and a canvas upper and three new colorways of the 6.0 Dunk Low SE just dropped at 21 Mercer.

A classic black-white, a tropical yellow and turquoise on a grey base, and a Purple/Metallic Silver are available, so hit up 21 Mercer to cop a pair.

Working against the generally negative 6.0 reputation are these three heavyweight canvas uppers. All three sport solid uppers with contrasting Swooshes. Club Purple is partnered with 3M reflective branding, while black and Nano Grey get help from white and Del Sol, respectively. The latter makes use of a Retro colored sole, liner and laces. If the 6.0 line is after the respect of sneakerheads everywhere, is this lineup a step in the right direction?

Nike 6.0 is coming into its own, and now the brand has enough momentum to try something relatively daring.  It’s not exactly original to modify the Dunk with a new sole, but some sneakerheads laughed at the Nike Vunk mashup (it was revealed on April 1, after all).  With the Nike 6.0 Dunk SE, the upper is more recognizable, but they swapped out the sole for a Braata-like vulcanized bottom with flexible ridges.  The first four colourways are looking pretty sharp, and you can see more pics after the jump.
